KASSIM IS PENERBANGAN MALAYSIA BERHAD’S NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Kuala Lumpur, 14 January 2005 – Penerbangan Malaysia Berhad (PMB), the holding company of Malaysia Airlines, today announced the appointment of Norashikin Mohd. Kassim as its Chief Financial Officer with effect from 10 January 2005. Leveraging on more than 10 years of experience with both local and global financial institutions, she will assume overall responsibility for PMB’s finance and treasury operations. “Norashikin represents a strategic addition to the Company, and brings critical financial and operating strengths to complement our management team,” said PMB Managing Director/CEO Tengku Azmil Zahruddin Raja Abdul Aziz. Norashikin Mohd. Kassim graduated from the University of Oxford, UK with a Masters of Arts in Mathematics. She subsequently graduated with a Masters of Science in Actuarial Science from the City University of London. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder. She was formerly the Head of Interest Rate Derivatives with Standard Chartered Bank Berhad. Prior to that, she was working with Citibank Berhad responsible for managing, structuring and trading treasury products which includes fixed income, money market and derivative instruments. |
